American AGCO has an exciting opportunity to join our team! We are looking for a Feed Ingredient Trader to join our team. In this role, you must be able to work across the enterprise and with a diverse group of people and customers. This role requires collaborative decision making while utilizing details, facts and data to make informed decisions. Strong communication skills, the ability to build relationships, and attention to detail are a must in this position.

This position works a hybrid schedule out of our Cottage Grove, MN location or remotely.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement a feed ingredient merchandising strategy to facilitate operational efficiency, profitability, and value created for our owners.

  • Build strong relationships and optimize logistics for our supply chain.

  • Perform market analysis on and interpret trade flows and commodity supply & demand.

  • Responsible for maximizing end to end margin for the product line.

  • Proactively communicate opportunities and challenges with the team.

  • Manage the position, origin and destination pairs, relationship trading and arbitrage of the position.

  • Develop and maintain new opportunities.

  • Resolve issues and disputes with accounting, transportation, shippers and buyers/end users.

  • Provide exceptional customer service by being the first point of contact with the consumer, user, and marketers.

  • Support the annual business planning, budgeting, and forecasting process.

  • Travel to relevant origins and destinations.

Minimum Qualifications (required)

  • High School diploma or GED

  • 2+ years of experience in physical trading, procurement and/or feed ingredients/commodities

Additional Qualifications (preferred)

  • Bachelor's degree preferred in Agriculture, Accounting, Business, Economics, Finance, Statistics, or related field

  • In depth understanding of commodity, feed markets and trading

  • Excellent analytical and decision making skills

  • Ability to adapt to fast changing environment

  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal

  • Experience managing P&L

  • Working knowledge of NGFA contracts
